Getting started and onboarding

First-week checklist for new teams

A structured first week: from account activation to a working daily routine across your team.

8 minutesTeam leads and new organizations

Prerequisites

  • Organization provisioned
  • Administrator access for at least one member

Steps

1

Day 1: activate and verify access

Confirm every team member has activated their account. Verify each person can open the applications their role requires, and resolve any missing access before training begins.

2

Day 2: configure roles and permissions

Review the default roles, adjust them to your organization's structure, and remove any excess permissions from the defaults. Least privilege on day two is far easier than tightening later.

3

Day 3: run a pilot workflow

Pick one real workflow, such as a request, an approval, and a handoff, and run it end to end with two or three volunteers. Note where the flow feels unclear; these notes become your training content.

4

Day 4: train the team

Run a 30-minute session covering sign-in, the applications each role uses, and the pilot workflow from day 3. Record it and share the link for future joiners.

5

Day 5: establish the routine

Agree on where work enters the platform, who reviews notifications and when, and how questions get routed to the administrator. Write it as a one-page team charter.

Tips

  • Run the pilot with volunteers first; a small confident group pulls the rest of the team along.
  • The administrator guide's pre-go-live checklist pairs well with this checklist.
